Let's take a look at the 2020 Show Categories -- maybe you'll find a place for something you weren't even thinking about!

100B – Large Quilt Duo: Length plus width must be greater than 139 inches. Joint effort by more than one person, including the quilting.
200A – Wall Quilt: Length plus width is less than 139 inches. Made entirely by one person, including the quilting.
200B – Wall Quilt Duo: Length plus width is less than 139 inches. Joint effort by more than one person, including the quilting.
300A – Applique: A significant amount of the quilt contains either hand or machine applique. Made entirely by one person.
300B – Applique: A significant amount of the quilt contains either hand or machine applique. Joint effort by more than one person, including the quilting.
400 – Large Machine Embroidery: Length plus width is greater than 139 inches. Entry form must indicate if it was a joint effort quilted by someone other than the entrant.
500 – Small Machine Embroidery: Length plus width must be less than 139 inches. Entry form must indicate if it was a joint effort quilted by someone other than the entrant.
600 – Miniature: Any technique, any design; each block must be 3 inches square or smaller. Length plus width must be equal to 30 inches or less; made by one person including the quilting.
700 – Art Quilt: Must be an original wall hanging design, made by one person. Any technique can be used; kits, patterns, block of the month are not allowed.
800 – Other Techniques: Any technique not fitting into another category, such as; hand red work, hand embroidery, whole cloth. Entry form must indicate if it was a joint effort quilted by someone other than the entrant.
900 – Modern: Quilts that are functional, minimalist, and inspired by modern design. Bold colors and modern prints may be used as well as areas of neutral color to provide negative space. Modern quilts often use asymmetry in design, improvisational piecing, the reinterpretation of traditional blocks or the lack of visible block structure. They are generally quilted simply with lines of stitching or grid patterns.
1000 – Youth/Novice: Quilt must be made entirely by someone under the age of 17 or a new quilter entering their first quilt show.
1100 – Guild and Group Challenges: This category honors the results when a quilt guild or quilt group issues a challenge to their members . The guild or group sets the rules, choosing the fabric, pattern, theme, size, etc. Each guild or group may submit only one challenge. A minimum of 4, to a maximum of 8 is required. Each quilter should fill out an entry form with appropriate pictures.
1200 – Wearable Art: Clothing or accessories; any technique; batting and quilting are required.
1300 – Home Décor: Any item used in the home, such as; table runners, pillows, placemats, pot holders, etc. Made entirely by one person, including the quilting.
