2016 Show Award of Merit

This 2016 show throwback goes to Thought Process by Karen Marchetti.  Karen's quilt was awarded the NQACJ Award of Merit by Certified Judge Pat Harrison.  

This award is unquestionably special (for anyone that doesn't know), The Award of Merit is (at the certified judges discretion) awarded to one quilt achieving recognized standards of quiltmaking excellence.  

As we all know, the NQA was dissolved (unfortunately) but, the NQA Certified Judges have continued the legacy as the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges (NACQJ). Pat Harrison contacted Karen after the show and awarded one of the new logo'd ribbons to this quilt - it is also the very first Award of Merit ribbon awarded by the NACQJ, visit their website for more details.
